Arkansas gets 9 runs in the bottom of the 8th and beats Wazzu 10 to 3
South Carolina beats George Mason 9 to 3

Vandy gives up a 1st inning grand slam to MTSU and ends up losing 5 to 4
Bama's ace gets hammered early by Oklahoma State, they leave 9 in scoring position and fall 10 to 6

Southern Miss gets a late field goal to edge Elon 17 to 15
Dartmouth came to play, UNC was lucky to get out of the first inning unscathed

I thought SDSU would save Strasberg to use against UC-Irvine. I guess not.

I was hoping that would happen! By the way, SDSU - Virginia is on ESPN Classic while ESPNU finishes with UGA

good lord. i just heard them announce that oklahoma state (a team that really did not belong in the tourney, even according to a lot of thier own fans ive talked to) beat bama. way to represent the sec bama!

Confidence is high

Not Strasberg's all time best effort, he gave up 8 hits and 2 runs with 15 K's on 120 pitches. His relief gave up another 3, Virginia beats SDSU 5 to 1. SDSU left at least 10 runners on the bases...

Bethune-Cookman gets a 2 run homer in the top of the 8th to up the lead on Florida 6 to 3
Florida answers with 2 in the bottom of the 8th, Bethune-Cookman up 6 to 5 going to the 9th
Bethune-Cookman gets another homer in the top of the 9th, up 7 to 5 now
Florida coming to bat in the bottom of the 9th
Florida with runners on the corners after scoring a run, still no outs
Since BC's pitcher can't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside, they make the change
FC to first, runners on 2nd and 3rd, intentional walk to load them up
Florida gets a single and wins the game 8 to 7. That was the only time Florida led the entire game!

It looks like the M.O. for the weekend will be for ESPN Classic to show a game whenever ESPNU is running behind. Earlier ESPNU was missing a live game to due some recaps, and ESPN Classic had it. I'll be leaving a second TV on whenever there is a game I want to watch.

Fresno State is up 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th on UC Irvine. It's probably not worth watching, like a #4 seed is ever gonna get anywhere

i really wish the ncaa would contract with fox sports for the regionals so all regions could be shown. those of us that have the fox sports package on dish could watch a lot of games that way!

screw that espn has the cws. if thats all they wanna pick up fine. but dont hold the rest of baseball hostage only to show it on local channels such as cox sports.

Everything is hopefully correct for Sunday in the first post, I'll try to update as the day goes along. From all the people who didn't know about the Texas link last night, I'm guessing this stuff doesn't much matter to many people anyway

Sunday breakdown
Driver's seat, win and they are in:
LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Kansas State

Lots of work, must win 3 games in a row or it's over:
Georgia, Rice, and Vanderbilt

The most returning teams we can have this year is four.

UGA led 5-0 then gave up seven runs over three innings to trail Ohio State 7-5 after five innings.

The Bulldogs have scored one in the top of the 6th and now trail 7-6.

After last night's 25 innings, BC must be worn out. They were down 4 to 3 to Army in the top of the 9th. Bases loaded w/ 1 out, Army turns a double play by inches! Army beats Boston College 4 to 3.
