If he gets in trouble and all charges are dropped against those little bitches, something is wrong. It looked to me he was just trying to restrain the one when she was resisting arrest. He could have dropped her, too.

But I have the feeling the bitches will walk and he will be reprimanded at best. I'm afraid the political pressure will get him fired.

id think his decision to punch could have backfired if he didnt get a clean shot and both women came at him. but no complaints here.

they need to start having 2 cops in every car. a white cop and a black cop. the black cop could have handled this and sharpton wouldn't have anything to say about it.

he clearly should not have punched her, he should have restrained her and cuffed her. that said, a punch is a minor thing.

What video did you watch? He was clearly trying to restrain and cuff her, but it's not easy fighting two people at the same time. The punch was quick, not very harmful and very effective. It should probably be used more often judging from what the video showed.

no doubt. i dont think it is a problem or anything. i just think that he should be using purely defensive tactics. this woman should be pretty easy to manage without throwing punches. i would assume cops are taught how to twist arms or whatever to immobilize folks and then get their arms behind their back.

the cop threw the punch because he was angry, not because it was an effective technique. but thats fine. cops get angry, throw a punch if you want, dude, i dont care.

She absolutely deserved it, and I am rarely one to defend cops. Anyone who may denounce the cop for his actions would have probably reacted in the same way in this situation.

Besides, I’m frequently hoping that people will get punched in the face for the stupid things they do. So this cop made for one extremely gratifying moment on my end.

That's pathetic. You have no idea how tough their job is. And for meager pay at that.

the job of cops isnt to give people the punishment they deserve, it is to restrain and arrest them. they are supposed to use purely defensive tactics. not punches.

but again, i dont fault the guy for losing his temper. give him an extra long lunch hour one afternoon and call it "paid suspension" for punishment.

right but a decent % of cops get into it so they can be jerkasses and yell at you and have authority. although i have found that new york cops are better and are generally all business and dont have a chip on their shoulder. baton rouge cops can be pricks alot of the time though, especially younger cops.

It's probably because she was backing off when he hit her. It made a defensive situation look offensive. If he could have popped her when she was right in his face, it wouldn't have risked his career. He already had both of them for assaulting a police officer and they would be in jail today and him back at work if he had timed it better and dropped her when she was indisputably swinging at him. Another second and she would have been right back and given him that shot, maybe.
