She doesn't tip her hand either way on which school Lache is going too (Texas or LSU). But when she post it seems like it is between us and Texas.

I thought Texas was going to be our main competition for him but there is a lot of chatter out there that Texas is out of it.

Part of the reason is because there is speculation that he does not trust the Texas staff and some of it stems to how they treated Trovon Reed after he would not commit when asked.

Either way, Lache has been trying to convince mom that out of state is what he needs to do and he is making good headway with her on that front.

LSU has family and friends close by which would ease some of her fears. Also Auburn has the pastor connection which also eases those concerns as well.

In the end I see him at LSU because we are close to family and I think we are where he wants to be based on the info I received from a good source close to the family. I think he will keep Texas in the picture to keep the pressure off some.

But anything can happen before NSD.

BhelmLSU, I did not want to say that Lache was an LSU Lock, in which his Aunt was saying. I don't think she wants to tip her hand, because it is Lache to say which team he is going to first. But she does say that every time she see Lache, he is wearing an LSU T-Shirt and they always talk about LSU. She knows she is posting on an Message Board and people will take anything she says out of context. So she really don't say which way he is leaning. But it really looks good for LSU I think tho.

Not a lock.. players of his caliber rarely are.. they can go wherever they want. I will say that I think we're sitting pretty with him.. and that if we aren't the team to beat we're very close to being so.

Auburn coaches have mostly been MIA at Alabama high schools since Saban arrived. For whatever reason, Tubby decided to go in a different direction instead of going head to head with Saban on a lot of players. At best, their efforts amounted to token appearances. Alabama recruits are now seeing a higher profile more visible staff from Auburn. To them the coaching situation at Auburn is better regardless of how the administration dealt with Tubby.

I heard Mack Brown do an interview once with one of the national talk show host. He pretty much said if a recruit doesn't want to commit to him then they pretty much take the pressure off. Said he doesn't like all the waffling and the hat show. He wants players that know they want to be at UT blah blah blah. If it helps us with players I say keep it up shorthorn.

Reed made some comments recently regarding the Barner visit that make it sound like LSU is still the team to beat for both himself and Lache. Nothing decisive, but definitely hinting at P&G futures.

I am a Baylor fan and have been somewhat following his recruitment and we are hearing that his top three are, Auburn, Baylor, and LSU.

I am not sure what to think about this thread but I have a feeling that one of these schools will end up with a really great running back. I have watched him one time and he is really fund and exciting to watch.

FWIW I would rather him go to baylor then Auburn if he doesn't go to LSU...him and Robert Griffin would be nice to watch I really like his game plus it would make that conference better if they actually had more competition.
