I'm telling you when Lattimore of Dyer commit to Aurburn it's not gonna do anything but push Lache more torwards us imo.

“We came out here looking to win state, but even though we were 0-3 we came together as a team,” said Lache Seastrunk, the senior-to-be star running back who led Temple with four touchdown catches. “We don’t care about our 7-on-7 record as much as we’re looking forward to the (fall) season.”
In its 2 p.m. opener on a sweltering day at Penberthy Intramural Fields, Temple led Hebron 25-14 early in the second half before allowing 19 unanswered points and losing 33-25.
Interceptions - some that Edcouch-Elsa made and some that Temple didn’t - played a key role as the Wildcats incurred an early 14-0 deficit against the Yellow Jackets, then got back to within eight points on two occasions but never solved their scrappy opponent in a 34-25 defeat.
In the finale against unbeaten Birdville, Temple missed crucial scoring opportunities and couldn’t contain an offense led by prolific Josh Dorman as it succumbed 34-19.
It was a tough day overall for the Wildcats, though Temple 7-on-7 coach Alan Brown said they played reasonably well other than the first half against Edcouch-Elsa of South Texas.
“I thought we only played one really bad half today,” said Brown, filling in for Craig Marshall. “They (Edcouch-Elsa) got two picks and we dropped two, and other than that it was an even game.
“I didn’t think we played badly today; the ball just didn’t bounce our way,” he added. “The kids were having fun at the end.”
Senior quarterback Isaac Matamoros threw 11 touchdown passes but also was intercepted eight times for Temple, which fell into today’s 32-team, single-elimination consolation bracket and will play Keller Central at 8 a.m.
A victory would send the Wildcats into a 10 a.m. matchup with District 12-5A rival Copperas Cove - which lost to Houston Jersey Village, Richardson Pearce and Southlake Carroll - or Garland Lakeview Centennial.
Temple could play a maximum of five games today, with the consolation final set for 4 p.m. at Kyle Field.

I've been wondering how many carries a game Lache is likely to get, whether at Auburn or LSU. He wants other big time RBs to go wherever he goes, so he's clearly okay with splitting carries.

Lache's an exciting back with great explosiveness, but I wonder how well he projects as a feature back.

Thoughts?

Based on size alone he looks like an every down back to me. Of course he'd obviously be best in a 1-2 punch like LenDale White/Reggie Bush.. but he looks like a feature back to me.

He's 5'11 and approaching 200 lbs.. and he's got excellent 'wiggle' so he rarely gets hit hard. Combine that and great vision.. i'm ready to give him the feature label.

My guess is he would get around 15 carries (18-20 touches) a game. He's got good hands and if they could do half back screens with him he could take it to the house if he gets it in the open field.

I think he could be a feature guy eventually but he'd make the most of his talents splitting time with a guy to pound the middle so he could work the edge.

I think it will be in the mid teens. As long as he makes the most out of those touches he wont need anymore to help the offense. Reggie averaged 15 cpg and 2 rpg; the cpg average is inflated due to 2 20+ games at the end of the season. With the amount of other options LSU will have, Lache's numbers might be slightly lower. Lache is more of an every down back than Reggie, but I think we will use him the a similar way as Reggie such as a diversion. I forgot what game it was in, but Reggie took a fake pitch that the entire defense bit on which allowed the other RB to break free. By the time the defense realized what was happening, Reggie was already celebrating his part in the play. While one guy gets the stat, the other guy allowed it to happen.

i've been as negative as anyone with our chances at Lache but if he shows for camp and with this storm deal stinking i have to believe we are in much better shape then previously.

I don't understand this thinking. Don't look just at the class, look at the roster. We signed Michael Ford last year. There are great kids at all the top 10 schools.
