I'm sure you're not the only one jinxing him this year. We're 20 races into the season, you could've only started him 9 times. Someone else must be jinxing him for the other 11 races.

Junior was running solidly in the top ten all day. Was it his fault that his engine blew up?

He took the blame for revving the engine too high leaving the pits. Boy got a habit of popping motors. His daddy was even harder on engines. Jr. is about the only driver I ever heard say he spun the motor back wards right before it blows. Still a stellar ride, gonna run it at Pocono he said.

Correction, he said he thought it was his fault, said he thought he dumped the clutch. He then said he was glad it wasn't his fault. He can't control a valve spring which is what broke and caused the engine to blow.

Are those makes going to race against the considerably smaller Mustang, or are they going to throw front and back stickers on the same generic race cars they use now, and try to pass it off as a Mustang that's as big as an Impala?!?

From what I hear they want to make it a "Pony Series" Ford is probably just the first to jump on board. Give Chevy time to get the Camaro in there. Don't know what Yota is gonna do...... put a MR2?....that would be funny!

Toyota would probably go with a celica. Sure it's not a pony car, but then thats not a mustang in that picture either.

that should be obvious from the photo. That car is a mustang in name only. Maybe if you squint your eyes, the back window kinda looks correct, but again, the entire front strip with the "headlights" and "intake" is just a sticker. It's still the same old nascar underneath.

I've heard that's been discussed, with the theory being putting a car on the track that's radically different from the Cup car will discourage full-time Cup drivers from racing the series...allowing it to get back to its roots as a training ground for future Cup drivers. I'd like to see that, but it might also end up as just a 2-car series, Mustang and Camaro. Don't think I like that.

Pretty damn good race for Pocono though. These double file re-starts have certainly added a spark. JJ down 3 laps and still a top 15! I think this championship geaux's between he and Smoke.

tell me about it. i thought i had a good day and still ended up 6th for the day.

i thought for sure jj was gonna be out of it with his problems. that was pretty amazing.
