To be honest this shocked me more than Michael Jackson. I really don't know what to say. It had to be over the girl you would think. Jealous husband, boyfriend I don't know just throwing that out there.

Ed Werter said on ESPNEWS earlier that since the police are not actively looking for a suspect, speculation in Nashville is that it could be a murder suicide.

The girl killed McNair then herself. McNair was shot multiple times including one to the head.

Reports say the girl was arrested Thurs on a DUI charge in which McNair was in the car with her. McNair was let go at the scene. And the car she was driving is co-owned by McNair and herself.

Very strange story.

Something tells me after the DUI he broke it off suddenly and she decided he wasn't going to be with anyone else but herself.

Now my thoughts go out to the wife. And if she truly didn't know anything about what was going on, how god awful. To learn the father of 2 of your children and husband is no longer alive and was cheating on you behind your back and planning a divorce.

If he was trying to divorce his wife being with another woman would have given her enough ammo to nail his balls to the wall.

The girlfriend wants him to fix the DUI which he couldnt do without their relationship coming out so she treatens to go public and tell his wife.

He goes over to get that bitch to chill out and...........

That is what I have been thinking about. I haven't been all over the internet searching for stuff, but the few reports I have seen have said nothing about the McNairs being seperated. But like I said, I haven't been looking.

I do feel sorry for his wife and children, how terrible to have to find out about your husband and daddy, if you didn't know anything about it.

I am still sending prayers for the McNair family.

police said they had not started divorce paperwork. in fact he went to a charity event with the whole fam late last month (not that that means they were together, i guess).

he was my favorite. still have my tennessee oilers sweatshirt from the memphis days. "was" my favorite. what a scumbag. he didnt deserve to die, but i dont feel sorry for him. they should put his wife and kids in the HOF.

Steve "Air" McNair was one of my favorite college QBs that I got to watch during my lifetime. I wish he'd have played for LSU and then the Saints. But being that he was born-and-raised in Mississippi, I'm glad Ole Miss didn't get him. I wonder why he got passed over by the Div-1 programs and got stuck having to play for a Div-2 SWAC team in Mississippi. Even though he played Div-2 for the SWAC, he finished #3 in the Heisman voting in 1994 behind two RBs. He was the QB that did the best in that year's Heisman vote, beating out senior Kerry Collins of Penn St, senior Jay Barker of Alabama, senior Eric Zeier of Georgia, etc.

Steve McNair's murderer: Sahel Kazemi, a 20-year-old that was Steve McNair's mistress and a waitress at Dave and Buster's sports bar in Nashville. Nashville Police say they think Sahel killed McNair because she thought he was messing around with another mistress.
