Default Think your cable company sucks?

I know Charter does we have had the same problem for over a year! So I saw this and filled it out!

Not to mention Charter refuses to work with Coxs so that we can watch Hornets games!

I have Mediacom at home which is terrible. Literally, 6,300 phone minutes between two of us calling them and a month later I was finally using the internet and had cable. (may have mentioned this in the lean beef thread).

I was trying to find a number on Comcast yesterday so I went to Wikipedia. Considering this is a section on there I think this shows how awesome they are.

Analysis of the surveys states that "Comcast is one of the lowest scoring companies in ACSI. As its customer satisfaction eroded by 7% over the past year, revenue increased by 12%." The ACSI analysis also addresses this contradiction, stating that "Such pricing power usually comes with some level of monopoly protection and most cable companies have little competition at the local level. This also means that a cable company can do well financially even though its customers are not particularly satisfied."[23][24]
Within the CABLE TELEVISION NEEDS ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO February 10, 2004 [25] which was required for Comcast's franchise renewal the city's independent consultant found: "Approximately 62% of the respondents, though, were very dissatisfied (along with another 25% who were dissatisfied) with the cost of cable television service." "A majority of the respondents were satisfied with the friendliness and courtesy of customer service personnel. Overall, approximately 43% of the respondents rated the cable company's performance as fair, 30% regarded it as poor and another 30% rated the cable company's performance as good."

As much as I'd like to help, that org is nothing but a front for ATT and other bells who are trying to get rid of local franchise rights and institute a national franchise policy. Charter sux, and Cox sux, but so do these guys.

True but if Cox was able to offer service in the Charter area then there could be a price war driving the prices down

I hated Charter. Those arseholes will never see another dime of my money. I am now a VERY satisfied DirecTv customer. My only complaint is not having Cox to watch LSU baseball, but that was one of my 131532442 complaints with charter as well.

DirecTv has never raised my bii in 4 +years (unlike charter)
I rarely lose service, except in the REALLY nasty weather (unlike charter)
GREAT picture quality (unlike charter)
I have yet to threaten the life of the A-RAB that answers the phone for DirecTV (unlike charter)
plus have more HD available, ExtraInnings available, regional sports channels from around the country available, etc. etc.

I can attest to the crappiness that is Charter Media. Their internet service is just as bad.

Everyone on my street that has Charter internet has problems.

This cracker is about to get him a laptop connect card...

Same here. It took me about a month of headaches with Charter before getting a full refund (I can at least say that they were very accommodating with that) & switching to DirecTV.

I'm somewhat satisfied with Cox, I love my cable internet access. The speed at my place is nice. I'm wondering if the HD service with DirecTV is worth a switch.
