A steady diet of chicken fried anything and gravy coupled with jacksh!t to do will effect anyones ability to maintain a normal and healthy weight. Boudin is my personal weakness. I will dance on one leg for a cold link.

...I can say that. I'm from Mississippi (although the Mississippi Gulf Coast is just a hair different from the rest of the state).

very surprised to see us at 8, thought it'd be worse. at least we're playing with a handicap here in La. the food is too good. i'd be 50 lbs smaller if i lived anywhere else.

what's the excuse everywhere else?

this weekend for instance. my dad is bringing over beignets (sp?) tomorrow morning. then this weekend we head to mandeville to see my mom who's frying catfish tomorrow night, hosting a bbq on saturday before we head to the seafood fest that night.

and i haven't even talked about all the calories from alcohol i'll consume this weekend.

i guess i'll start my diet during tailgating season

From Robideaux's in Iowa. Freezes perfectly so I will fly home 20, 25 pounds and try to keep filled. I get a refill bout twice a year. They have a shrimp boudin that is to die for. Get a couple pounds of boudin balls as well. Bag of Iowa grown rice for gumbo is a good call, dont forget the community either. I get meat pies outta beaux bridge. Those are some pretty damn good snack right there.
