Is the SEC Championship really an accomplishment

If the SEC title is more important, why would Les get the big paycheck after winning the national title?

Winning the SEC shows you are the best in the conference. Winning the NC shows you are the best in the country. Both are good to have, but this is a no-brainer.

I'll take the same argument in the initial post and say if it's such a big prize, why isn't a team in our conference ranked ahead of the two teams playing in it.

So.........................Your one of the ones saying "it's no big deal and we shouldn't even care".

Maybe we should all petition the league to cancel the game because teams ranked ahead of the two in the SEC championship game aren't playing.

I never said an SEC Championship was better or more important than a NC. My point was that it's very difficult to win an SEC Championship and it is something to fight for and be proud of. Do you disagree?

C'mon, Tiga, I'm trying to feel better about the situation. Let me have this little fantasy for a couple of days. It might save a life!

Obviously the MNC is a HUGE accomplishment. And I wish we were still in the hunt. But we'd have to win the SECCG before we could've gone to the MNC, so that in itself means the SECC is pretty important.

Sort of like saying "oh, Hell, she wasn't THAT pretty anyway."

so if this is the case...why is everyone packing CLMs bags for him to ship up north??? he still has a shot to win the most prestigious game out there according to this thread. he still has a chance to be the top coach in college football by winning the SECCG and go 12-2!!

Let me answer that for ya...its because the national championship IS the ultimate goal.

I agree, and I think that all conferences should have one.
