Since no one from MSU appears interested in participating, I will make two observations. The Georgia board made reference to the fact that MSU beat Florida @ home in 2000 47 -35. So what, different team, coaches , etc. Secondly, MSU has not started 0-4 in 35 years. And your point is ? There is a second time for everything ! Where is John Bond (remember him ?) when MSU needs him ! We never could beat that guy.

This game really worries me. It has let down written all over it. MSU will be the second best team we've played this year -- if we come out flat they are perfectly capable of hanging some points on us early. I watched the Oregon game and I was really impressed with Fant's progress since last year. MSU has a decent offense but their defense is pretty bad. It will probably confuse Mauck...he won't know which open receiver to hit.

State is ranked #116 out of 117 Division I schools in Total Defense. They will not be able to stop LSU. State has a good offense but they will not do so well against LSU's #8-ranked defense. LSU must not turn the ball over and give State the short field because they can score in that circumstance. Other than that -- I'm not worried a bit.

OK, one small worry. We gave up the big play once against Georgia, for the first time this year. Nick has to put a stop to that.
