I wonder where he will go now. If he really wants to stick a finger in the "Eye of the Tiger" he will go to Bama. I wonder if Saban would take him. I suspect he would considering the pressure he is facing to win.

because of his immense talent, he's not out of chances yet, some Div. AA team will have him playing ball this fall But he's running out of them, and he's already cost himself money with the NFL, if he's clean from here on out.

he will get a chance at southern or whatever but with the support system LSU had in place, he has zero chance of staying on the field elsewhere to put up any relevant numbers to even be sniffed.

his potential hasnt even been shown to scouts and in order to do that he would have to play a year. without issues.

Another kid who didn't get it. What a shame.

Unfortunately for him, his road just got a lot tougher to the next level. He no doubt with a good junior and senior season could have been a top 10 pick. Now he will be lucky if (that's a big if) he stays out of trouble. I don't think he will. We all make mistakes and hope that we learn. RP didn't and now he pays the price.

Let's see, kicked out of school, having a baby by his girlfriend, and now going to a division 2 school because he wasn't smart enough to appreciate what he had in front of him. It's another tragedy. Too bad for that young man. He cost himself million.

From a football standpoint it potentially cost LSU millions. I really believe with RP at QB we had a legitimate shot at the NC and a real chance at the SECCG. Now I'd say we have a uphill battle to reach 9-3. Probably all three losses in the SEC. QB by far is the toughest position on the team to replace.

I'm hoping Lee can emerge and Jordan can be productive as a freshman. Hatch is not a big league QB IMO.

Alright Les you now have your biggest challenge.

I think its prudent for us to understand he is just a kid. That was pampered his whole life "IE I will win 4 heismans" he was probably told that he can do no wrong. For us to call him "an idiot" and things of that nature I just dont agree with. Yes he is older now and as a Junior probably should have his head on straight. But I think its obvious this kid was one that was easiliy guided down wrong paths. And when everyone wants a piece of you and you are the focal point for years of thousands of people (Recruiting, at LSU, arcticles on msnbc.com, cnn etc). Before we start blaming him for everything. Sometimes its important to look at the path that got him here and maybe just maybe place some blame on the peope around him as well.

If it is true, I have had a few people call me and confirm rumors that are posted here through the day. This kid needs professional help, but LSU football is done with him.

I wont disagree the kid made some POOORRRR choices. That I agree and he as man needs to atone for them. But I think we some times lose a bit of focus that these really are kids, that compared to most of us have had adults telling them how great they are.
I also was an idiot in college. Just didnt have cnn reporting on it. Frankly the amount of booze I drank (among other things) would have probably gotten me kicked out of the country let alone a national champion football team.

Can we just be done with this for good. It is obivious that the guy has no heart or will to play football and do what it takes to command a championship team.

And I called it on the Geaux Show (you can pull up the tape) that RP would not make it through the summer without getting kicked off for something drug related!
