its not softball where you're supposed to use one pitcher every game.

its a game intended to play everyday-that was the point-regardless of a particular teams lack of depth. thats a completely different issue. a managerial one.

Dallas Baptist may worry me a bit. They played DAMN strong against aTm during the season.

you'd better not bail out early on any games this weekend.
the population in this thread seemed to grow as the game went longer.
I am convinced the big crowd played a part in the victory.

Yeah, that's true too. I haven't seen them play this season, but I have seen Dallas Baptist and they impressed the hell out of me. Texas A&M ain't no slouch either, and DB played with them head-to-head throughout their series.

i have been told that in the top of the 15th of the uno game, there was a controversial call (or blown call as it has been put to me) that seriously favored lsu. i cant find anything in the thread, and to save my life, i cant remember one or what it was.

does anyone remember?

I dont remember the call, maybe they are bitching about balls and strikes. That ump had a HUGE strike zone, which obviously favored our pitchers using sliders off the plate.

the way it was described to me was one particular call in the top of the 15th. maybe it was a call on balls and strikes they thought was particularly bad, i dont know. but i had forgotten that too.

It was a huge strike zone but at least he was kept it fairly consistent.

In the top of the 15th there was a groundout and two strike outs. Don't recall any controversy. The only 2 plays I recall that went our way was a safe at the plate that may have been out and UNO's Butler getting thrown out at 2nd on a maybe not play. That's when he went balistic and got tossed.

i mention it cause greenie called last night after his game. it seems that there was talk about it among some of the tulane fans when they got on the subject of the lsu/uno game and THEY were the ones bitching about a call in the top of the 15th in lsu's favor. greenie didnt catch what it was and asked if i cared to respond through him. i just laughed.

tulane is taking on the toughest team in their conf this weekend, and some of their fans are obsessed with and have their panties in a wad over lsu. i thought that was hysterical.

that guy was SAFE. on all the angles I saw of it, it wasn't even close enough to say "it could have gone either way". Ump just straight up blew that one.
