It is VERY possibly for us not to have a single night SEC home game.

I would say UGA/Bama are locks for 2:30.

I think CBS might want to be the one to promote the ****ing "Magnolia Bowl" or whatever gay name it has now.

That leaves MSU.

That week:
Tennessee @ Auburn (CBS)
Bama @ Georgia
Ole Miss @ Florida
MSU @ LSU

I would think that Bama @ UGA will get the ESPN slot without question. That leaves us and Ole Miss @ UF fighting not to get the LF game. What is in our favor is that Ole Miss played UF close last year, so that game may sound more appealing.

It's a sad time when LSU only has 3 out of 8 night kickoffs. Damn you CBS.

There is hope! Time Brando was on local BR radio this morning. He said that if the matchup ends up being as important as expected, then it will very likely be a prime time game on CBS.

He did specify that it would be in addition to the current night game already on CBS's schedule, LSU @ UF.

lsusports.net put out a release: For the Record: LSU Football on CBS

Basically they are saying the CBS schedule is subject to change if teams do much worse or better than expected. In my opinion the LSU games against Florida and Georgia won't change, but South Carolina could.

CBS now has the schedule hidden, they have done this the last two years. If you still want to see what they have listed, you can open the link at the top and view the source code of the page.

Success brings increased exposure and recognition.

The SECs recently signed contract with CBS pretty much guarantees that if you win this

you will be prominently featured on the SEC CBS game of the week the following year.

You can wallow in mediocrity and be guaranteed that most, if not all of your home games will be at night and won't be televised or you can enjoy the success that we've had in the past 5 years (

) which results in fewer night games but more national exposure and $$$.

Pretty simple choice if you ask me.

As far as the Miss St game could this game be on LF, JP or whatever its called now? I thought their was a thread on here that teams need to play a home game every two years on LF at 11:30. I hope I'm wrong.

With CBS getting the first pick every weekend on the new contract we'll have less and less games at night in Tiger Stadium, especially the marquis games.
We were fortunate in the past as ESPN was able to pick about 3 games a year and they love night games at LSU.

The CBS contract is great for the SEC, but it will put a cramp in our style.

i thought espn still has two weekends that they can pick over cbs, that's why i thought the LSU-AU game was supposed to be espn night game??

All we have to do is have a dramatic win of some sort over Appalachian St, Troy or North Texas.

We have to be somewhat of a favorite to CBS after last year, I think?

I thought this was kind of funny. If you hit google and search for leaked cbs schedule, you see the blogosphere in action.

southernsaturday.com copied and pasted the CBS schedule shown in the first post of this thread, copied it verbatim.

Find the information somewhere else and act as though you are posting groundbreaking material that only your blog could find. Get the facts wrong because you are too ignorant to know it’s been done like this for years. And although you are one guy, talk as though some learned consortium has come to a consensus opinion.

The Birmingham News’ Ian Rappaport emailed the blog and then reported that they are standing by their story! Other blogs are attributing the "leaked schedule" to a computer glitch.

southernsaturday.com has also learned what some of the unannounced ESPN primetime SEC games will be. More groundbreaking news!

OK, sorry. I’m just easily entertained sometimes...
