Yeah, I'm like a good luck charm. Whenever LSU is losing and I show up on here it seems like LSU immediately starts winning. It's weird.

Be positive, have a love for watching sports, whether we win or lose. Have you ever played a sport? You don't always win. Losing is part of the experience. If you don't like it that, then don't follow sports.

Look, your positive attitude is to be commended but I don't think you have a clue about how the game is played and you don't know who I am.

I suppose your answer to your losing little league team is to "hang in there, luck will have to shift" rather than diagnose the problem and make corrections.

On all the LSU forums I'm active on, I've participated in many threads focused on the debate whether or not it is okay to be negative toward LSU or not, and all the negative people will argue and argue and argue with points trying to justify that it is okay for them to be negative. But nobody likes somebody who is negative, especially a fellow fan during a ball game.

I doubt that anyone gets angrier than me when things are going badly for the Tigers and I think really bad thoughts about the stupid things that hurt the team. But...I keep them to myself and rarely, if ever, post during game threads. If and when we come back to win, the pissed off posts look kind of silly. And, John, you would have more credibility if you attacked the negative posters before the comeback.

Two pro scouts were sitting in front of me, and they were NOT impressed. One was obviously there for JMitch and left in the 7th with a sour look on his face. Called his second at-bat "terrible" out loud to his colleague, shook his head throughout the third at-bat. The other turned to my buddy and I after Mikie dropped that ball that allowed the runner to get to second and was obviously very, very annoyed that he tried to "hot dog" that easy catch, and talked about it to us for about 30-40 seconds. He was silent until the successive homer, when he said "And THAT is why you should never hot dog a catch. This isn't high school, this is the Super Regionals." Ouch. My defense of Mikie (favorite player at the moment): "He IS only a freshman... but yes, this isn't a time to be lax. Always bringing the A-game."

nice pic of the game.

the groans in the chat room when mikie dropped that catch were pretty loud. the kid got cocky and it cost him.

we also noticed that after that put a solid two hands on those easy catches! hopefully lesson learned!

I'm very encouraged that we survived a bad case of freshman jitters. Hopefully they got it out of their system and will play like they have been for most of the season. And how about breaking open the game against a left handed pitcher, that was sweet!

The criticism of Mitchell notwithstanding I don't think one play is going to hurt anyone's chances at any level. Young players learn from their mistakes. I think Mikie will be OK. If this guy is basing decisions on one play there wouldn't be any players in MLB.

This is why I post EXTREMELY rarely during or right after a game. I really wish people would adopt Nick's 24-hour rule when it comes to posting after losses. Give yourself some time to cool off and not say something stupid that will come back to bite you later.

The catch that Mike dropped was a classic case of not covering up the ball. A couple innings later he caught a fly ball and used both hands. Freshmen are going to make some mistakes, but i gaurantee he does not make that mistake twice. Great game by the Bayou Bengels. Lets get this next one over with.
