New Uniforms for LSU Coming Soon - Photo Added to First Post

Wouldn't surprise me to see numerals on the helmets. That's pretty much what I figured would happen. I'd prefer these in our normal shade of Athletic Gold, but they could be worse I guess. They sure don't look like LSU uniforms, but at least they kind of look like football uniforms. Can't say the same for TCU.

You folks take this uniform thing WAAAY too seriously IMO.

What THEY wear or what WE wear doesn't have a damn thing with how they play.

Hell, I remember a time in the 60's and 70's that the purple jerseys were supposedly bad luck.

We wore 'em once every 3-4 years, basically when we were forced into it on road.

Which left us with ONE uniform. Pretty silly if you axe me.

IF these reflect throwback late 40's unis for one game, I say it's a good thing.

Same thing as going back to our current helmets with the numbers on the side to me.

Respect for our history is way cool.

Hell. maybe we can even get Y.A. back into one of those gold helmets.

PS I think we could still whip the Hogs even in practice pads.

PSS God help all of you superstitious people if we ever have to build a new stadium.

If this is a one-off uniform to be worn against Arkansas to get Nike some press and see how actual NCAA players like them under game conditions, why is everyone gettng their panties in a bunch? I hated the pelican jerseys the Tigers wore against Tulane but it really wasn't that big a deal. Get a grip. If they wanted to change our traditions permanently, that would be different.

The image on nike and the one posted are not the same. Look at the legs of the so called LSU uniform. The person on the Nike page has his leg behind the guy on the right. It shows up in front on the photo shopped page posted here. How but everyone chill for a bit. I'm not saying that our new uniforms won't look like that, but for right now I can't believe that picture when it has been so obviously photoshopped.

The one with all the uniforms is a photoshop job. They took all the individual pictures and put them together to match the layout on the Nike site. Every stance matches.

I tend to think I'm one of the calm ones in this thread. I'm not the one having a hissy fit over a uniform that has not been officially revealed and will be worn for one game only. I'm not the one talking about it in two seperate threads.

All I have said was that all photos shown and linked to, that reveal what is said to be the LSU uniform are photshopped, chill out, and maybe we should wait till it is officially revealed before getting our panties in a wad.

And don't get mad at me because you didn't read my whole post. I never claimed our uniforms would not look like that.

The most ironic slogan is the one they gave to Ohio State. Completely changed the uniform style they've had since the 60's, then gave them the slogan, "tradition."

This whole uniform campaign demonstrates that no one at Nike has a clue what "tradition" means. They are not even on the same planet as "tradition."

You are correct. But the bigger advantage is that it will difficult for Arkansas, for example, to execute their fundamentals and game plan while they are doubled over laughing at our video game uniforms.

so what do we have to do to boycott this uniform. I think throwbacks are great as a few have stated earlier, but these uniforms suck, the gold helmet sucks, and nike sucks.
