I agree 100%.

I will support this boycott as much as I possibly can.

I will not watch the game or even look at pictures of the one-off uniforms anywhere.

I refuse to follow this game on the Internet, or even listen to it on the radio.

No TV replays either.

Hell, the only thing I will look at is the final score printed with all the other scores in the Sunday paper.

In fact, I will even refuse to talk to anyone about this game when it is over.

To me, it will be as if it never happened.

I see it as the opposite. Most likely Nike will be wanting feedback on the uniforms. So no doubt the players will be thinking about the uniforms while playing. Distraction. Not to mention they will be new and feel different than usual.

I always thought LSU would look cool with helmets like the Cincinatti Bengals wear - but in our colors - or some variation of that. Maybe next time we play Ohio State we can come out on the field in the 2nd half with those just to mess with their heads. (As all the LSU fans start chanting "Who Dey!")

An LSU uniform without stripes is not a throwback to anything except the leather-helmet era. It looks like friggin' Ohio State with a Navy helmet.

good point. i thought about that too.

i think too much is being put into the fact that "the kids like them." who gives a rats ass what the kids want? i think it's always been that way, right? would chollie mac or the burrrr allow the "kids" to make such decisions on their respective teams? not that i really care one way or the other because change will happen sooner or later and there isn't anything we can do about it. but... i guess as long as the change is not tooooo painful.

I'm not quick to disagree with red, um, ever, but there are what appear to be stripes on the sleeves. That being said, I understand what you're saying- the short stripes on 1/3rd the sleeve do not really count.

Not only is this a blast from the past, COOL.

But if Miles gets homesick, you pull out these babies and boom, it's like Ann Arbor, all over again.
