The just had the VT uniform on College Gameday. They will be using it today. The Gameday crew also talked about TCU's uniform, it seems that they're gonna use them today.

I think everyone needs to relax. That photo in the first thread is not our uniform. Nor will ours look like Va Techs. Every Uni is taking on a different look from the other Nike uni. I agree with not messing with tradition, but all of you that are talking about boycotting something that you haven't even seen yet is a bit ridiculous. Let's all chill out and wait for our uni to be revealed. I promise it's not going to be the one posted on the first post.

if so, I hope you are correct.

I know the VaTech one was just a photoshop job a fan did (converting the VaTech uni to our colors)

as far as the one in the 1st post, that blog has been awfully accurate with the other unis they leaked before the official releases.

i agree. and i don't really care too much as long it's not as bad as this:

which in hindsight wasn't really that bad, except for the helmet.

I actually kind of liked these for ONE game and since it was a Katrina tribute with the uni's being auctioned for charity.

This GARBAGE Nike is going to have us wear is DISGUSTING!!!!!!! Is this a "trial run" or will this become our uniforms? Please no!!!!!!!!

No inside info. I just don't see how they would change our colors. All the other uniforms keep the same colors, it just wouldn't make sense to change the color scheme for the new uniforms. I don't mind a one game change as long as they keep the same purple and gold.

i'll ask again since no one really answered, but is there an official photo of the uniforms yet? seems like some people keep talking about how hideous they are, but i've yet to see ANY picture of this uniform in question. just photoshops and speculations.

that's what i thought. most people here know that i'm a staunch supporter of the traditional look. BUT, i'm willing to wait until an official photo is released before reserving any judgement -- positive or negative.

they'll official be unveiled on the 22nd.

but the link in the 1st post has pretty much pegged everyone else (so far) before they were released, so my gut tells me that's what we're wearing.

I thought TCU's uniforms looked good too. VT on the other hand...what the hell is that on the top of the shoulders, not to mention the weird stripes on the helmet? If they insist on messing with LSU uniforms, I wouldn't mind seeing LSU purple on tops and pants with our traditional helmets, gold & white numbers/names (I must admit that I like our purple jerseys, although they seem more blue to me than they use to). no one knows why the helmet is washington gold instead of lsu gold.

Blame that on Nike, Crazy. They said their jersey manufacturing process doesn't
allow for the-around-the-sleeve stripes.
