Man, that was quick. Spring practice is already here? It was just snowing a few days ago.

Anywho, here are the dates:

2010 LSU Spring Football Practice Dates

Week 1: Feb. 25, 26, 27
Week 2: March 2, 4, 6
Week 3: March 9, 11, 13
Week 4: March 16, 18, 20
Week 5: March 23, 25, 27

LSU National L Club Spring Game - Saturday, March 27 at 3 p.m. in Tiger Stadium

We bumped it up a little which I like because it gives us more time to evaluate what we have following the Spring game.

Also wanted to note that LSU's 2nd Junior Day will be the day of the Spring Game.

Thats what I'm talkin about. Make them aggressive as you can and make it a point that they want dominate their opponet from start to finish. I believe thats what separate Saban's teams from the rest, the mentality he instills in his players.

I know yall dont like Saban references but its the truth. I dont like him anymore than the rest of you but thats what makes him so successful

That was AWESOME!

LOVED watching Russel Shepard get in there and mix it up. The team got a kick out of it, too. Looks like RS bulked up a bit.

This. I actually stood up out of my chair to watch that part! I think the team is already completely invested in RS. They were INTO that matchup.

Wow, that just pumps me up for the season to fastforward ASAP. You can just see how infectious Shepard is, everyone seems to gravitate to him. He has innate leadership skills. Im looking forward to the start of the season!

Been to a few of the practices and heard reports from others about the ones I missed. This team is fierce. If for nothing else, they will bring the pain to their opponents.

Les has had enough of being told he's not fiery enough. He has been a drill sgt. this entire spring.

Nick wanted his teams to dominate, but his practices at LSU were not all that hard-hitting. Nick ran a lot of "thump" drills where you don't take a man completely down. He thought it allowed the team to recycle quicker and get in more practice reps. It also cut way down on pre-season practice injuries. It's an NFL mentality where you expect your players to be physical and you want them to be healthy and well-trained.

But Nick's team always seemed to get off to slow starts, especially the linemen, who often got pushed around by weaker OOC opponents in the first couple of games before they tightened up. Les ran hard-hitting practices from the beginning and we suffer more injuries, but they go into game one physical and ready to hit.

The last three years Bama looked ready and more than willing to physically mix it up with Clemson, VaTech, and last and certainly least Western Carolina . You saw what you saw but CNS hasn't lost a regular season game since the 2007 season.

Who was that Saban guy you had down there a few years ago?

Point is, being a physical football team can be as much mental toughness as opposed to just physical practices.

Hope you enjoyed it, because you won't be seeing that a run like that again. Even during that run, Saban's teams came out and got manhandled by a lot of teams.

Anyway, I'm just hoping for an O-Line and D-Line that improves and can open up holes and shut down holes in the same respect.

I'll be at the spring game, and am gonna be looking at those two more than anything else. With a side peek at QB.
